Don’t all the girls want to look radiant yet natural everyday? Forget weddings and night-outs, our everyday routine that includes college, office and running errands requires one to look fresh and presentable without the obvious caked up face. This is the exact reason I decided to give Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, that claims a natural, no makeup look, a try! After been using for a fortnight now, this product has totally become my ‘go to’ foundation for the most subtle everyday look. So, here is my Maybelline Fit Me Matte+Poreless Foundation Review And Swatches: 310 Sun Beige.
INR 525 for 30 ml
Maybelline New York launched Fit Me foundation a couple of years ago in the US and other countries before introducing it in India, recently. Here, it is available in 6 shades contrary to 24 shades abroad. The shades available in India are:
230- Natural Buff
310- Sun Beige
322 -Warm Honey
330 -Toffee Caramel
128 -Warm Nude
The product has very mild odour that vanishes once applied. It also comes with an advantage of SPF 18.
Frankly, its packaging is a letdown! A pump is highly anticipated even in drugstore foundations. Without a pump or even an applicator wand, it gets unhygienic and messy to pour down the product on palms or brush. This kind of packaging is inconsiderate and increases wastage. The foundation comes in a hard glass bottle which with that open neck screw cap is not much travel friendly.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH IT!
I picked up shade number 310 Sun Beige as it has a yellow undertone and matches my average Indian complexion perfectly. I rue the fact that having called itself as ‘Fit Me’, the range should have more shades than just 6 to match the plethora of Indian skin tones.
The texture is pretty light & mousse like and doesn’t sit heavy on the skin. Being water based, it seamlessly gets absorbed in the skin without leaving any dry patches behind. The foundation is not very thick or runny, which helps in easy blending and building up on the face with fingers or brush.
Coverage and Finish:
The product has sheer to medium coverage that makes it ideal for day wear. It conceals fine lines and pores, if blended patiently. The finish is rather dewy and fresh than matte and the results are so natural that there is no obvious trace of foundation on the face at all. Oily skinned people must set it with matte powder for keeping shine at bay. (You can read my review of the full-coverage L’oreal Infallible 24-H Stay Fresh Foundation here)
Staying prowess and performance:
On my super-oily face, it fares for a good 4-5 hours without any primer or setting powder. For normal to dry skin, the durability is ought to be better. With powder, the performance enhances by another couple of hours. It doesn’t crease or oxidize all like many other foundations, keeping the skin fresh and breathing.
- Super light on skin, feels like not wearing anything on the face.
- The finish is natural and dewy
- Good for beginners and those who don’t like wearing much makeup
- Conceals fine lines and pores
- Great price for the quality offered.
- Has SPF
- Doesn’t leave dry patches behind, spreads out evenly.
- Sheer to medium coverage, great for everyday wear.
- Yellow undertone, which is a big YAY!
- Packaging is bad! Open neck bottles are messy, unhygienic and non-travel friendly.
- Not enough shades available in India to justify its name. There are, certainly, more than just 6 kinds of skin-tones in India.
- Not matte, rather, dewy.
